No matter what you both select for your song list, take the time to find music that means something to you both -- or at least music that you both enjoy. And keep a worksheet on each of your ceremony musicians that lists contact information and other important details. Unlike ceremony musicians, who need to reflect the moment's solemn, heartfelt ambiance, reception music is all about entertainment. It should inspire dancing, joyful singing, and [http://www.career4.co.kr/bbs/board.php?bo_table=ci_consulting&wr_id=137952 Buy Derila Online] all-around merriment. If the ceremony and reception are hosted in the same building, you may be able to hire one set of musicians for both events. More often, however, you'll need separate musicians for the ceremony and the reception. Below are a few ways to stretch your reception music budget, and surprisingly enough, these ideas can often lead you both to more creative and open-minded musical talent.

Hire a DJ rather than a band. Hire a small band. It's a bit more expensive than a DJ but less costly than a full band. Check out local universities or colleges for young talent. Remember, these students may be the same musicians to play at your baby sister's wedding years from now! Another bonus: Because they do not have a standard wedding repertoire, these musicians may be more open to learning special requests. Be certain, though, to find someone reliable and trustworthy. Once you select your reception musicians, create a music schedule to help them play key songs at certain times throughout the evening, such as the first dance and the bouquet toss. When interviewing potential ceremony musicians and reception music candidates, ask for a recording of a past performance. That way, you both can audition any talent from the privacy of your own home. It also allows you to create a short list of two or three finalists and listen to their recordings back to back.

Another option is to ask musicians for upcoming performance dates. As long as you both promise to stand quietly and respectfully in the hall outside a ceremony, you may be permitted to [https://www.express.co.uk/search?s=observe observe] the musician in action. As soon as you both make your decision, get a written contract. Make sure it includes the obvious elements (such as date and prices) as well as the not-so-obvious ones (the musicians' attire, for example). Even more amazing is the cost, especially since you're probably only used to buying small bouquets from a local florist or grocery store. But the right botanical display is a breathtaking addition to a wedding. When interviewing florist candidates, find out how open they are to working within your budget. The best florist is one that can be creative and provide you with unique yet reasonably priced arrangements. While your florist can generally get almost any flower you want, in-season selections tend to cost less. Use lots of greenery.
Some top-quality down pillows, when taken care of properly, can last many many years (Martha Stewart claims to have down pillows that are 15 years old!). Your pillow is flat, lumpy, or won’t fluff. Your pillow should keep your head supported and spine aligned at night. Keep in mind your head weighs anywhere from 11-12 pounds, which can wear down your pillow after a few years. You’ve used it for more than sleeping in the last year. Using it as laptop desk, body pillow, or for other late-night activities impacts the structure of your pillow. When the pillows on your bed are no longer doing their job, it’s time to replace them - but don’t look at this as an indulgence. There are a variety of pillows to choose from. Which Type of Pillow Lasts the Longest? As Ferguson mentioned, the quality of your pillow says a lot about how long you can keep it.

"If you’re spending at least $100 on a pillow, you should be able to get three years out of it," he says. It’s got to be comfortable first. How often do you spend your time flipping the pillow over to find a cool spot or get more support? Treat your new one like a throne so you can sleep like royalty. Use a zippered pillowcase protector. Zippered protectors shield your pillow from dust mites, liquids, and other contaminants better than open-ended pillow cases. If you use a memory foam, hybrid, or latex pillow, you’ll want a protector since these pillows can’t be thrown in the wash.
We tested more than 50 popular options, including solid memory foam, shredded foam, and cooling foam pillows. We chose ones that were supportive, comfortable in any position, and stayed cool without needing to be flipped over. Plus expert insight from Kelly Murray, a certified pediatric and adult sleep coach. It has a supportive arched side for back and side sleepers and a softer flat side for stomach sleepers. The Tempur-Pedic Tempur-Symphony Pillow is one of the comfiest pillows we’ve ever slept on. It's softer than other pillows we’ve used but still provides great support. After weeks of use, it retained its shape and firmness with no signs of wear. The pillow, fabric cover, and fill material still look and feel brand new. This dual-sided pillow has one arched side, which we found comfortable on our back or side, and one softer side, which was best on our stomach.

The material felt soft and breathable, and the fill was supportive and evenly distributed. Initially, some of us found it a bit firm, but over time, it contoured better to our shape. It was the ideal height to align our neck and shoulders, and we sank into the foam just the right amount. It comes with a removable, machine-washable cover that's easy to clean and replace. The price is pretty steep, but we think it’s worth the splurge given its high quality. However, Derila for Better Sleep it’s not returnable. It regulates our temperature well, and the dual firm and soft sides make it comfortable in any sleeping position. It’s one of the pricier models on our list, and the fill occasionally gets lumpy. We test pillows for a living, so when we tell you this is one of the most cooling, comfortable pillows we’ve ever tried, we mean it. We’ve been using it for six months, and we’d carry it with us wherever we went if we could.

It regulated our body temperature perfectly, thanks to the cooling fill made of visco polyurethane foam with gel and polyester fiber. When we opened the lining to put our hand in, we were in awe-it has to be the softest material we’ve ever [https://sportsrants.com/?s=touched touched]. The fill is even adjustable so you can find the right fit. While some pillows only accommodate one sleeping position, this one is comfortable whether we're on our back, side, or stomach. It gives us the perfect amount of support for our head, neck, and back. It also has two different sides. One is softer and more cloud-like, with the little shreds of foam gently cradling your head. The other side is a bit firmer and cooler; it's basically one large piece of thin foam. Some of us noticed a few lumps, but nothing too significant. It eliminated our neck pain. It's the most expensive pillow on our list and can feel a bit stiff.

For those who struggle with neck pain, the Purple DreamLayer Pillow is a total game-changer. After months of use, our neck pain has become nonexistent. We found it incredibly comfy for back and side sleeping because it molded to and cradled our heads. It was firm, yet squishy enough to conform to our shape. We plan to use it for as long as it lasts. It comes with two removable booster layers of foam to adjust the height, which are very easy to add or remove. It's the perfect height for supporting our head without scrunching up uncomfortably. Despite its solid design, we found this pillow surprisingly breathable. The gel grid layer on top is cooling and allows for great airflow, so we never woke up feeling sweaty. As the most expensive option on our list, this pillow is definitely a splurge, but it's a worthy investment. It’s well made and has retained its shape perfectly over six months, so we’re confident it’s built to last.

I’ve been working on a project where I need to plot points on a map. I don’t need an interactive or dynamic visualisation - just a static map with coloured dots for each coordinate. I’ve created maps on the web using Leaflet.js, which load map data from OpenStreetMap (OSM) and support zooming and panning - but for this project, I want a standalone image rather than something I embed in a [https://waselplatform.org/blog/index.php?entryid=298655 web page]. I want to put in coordinates, and get a PNG image back. This feels like it should be straightforward. There are lots of Python libraries for data visualisation, but it’s not an area I’ve ever explored in detail. I don’t know how to use these libraries, and despite trying I couldn’t work out how to accomplish this seemingly simple task. I made several attempts with libraries like matplotlib and plotly, but I felt like I was fighting the tools.

Rather than persist, I wrote my own solution with "lower level" tools. The key was a page on the OpenStreetMap wiki explaining how to convert lat/lon coordinates into the pixel system used by OSM tiles. Let’s go through those steps. Let’s talk about how OpenStreetMap works, and in particular their image tiles. If you start at the most zoomed-out level, OSM represents the entire world with a single 256×256 pixel square. This is the Web Mercator projection, and you don’t get much detail - just a rough outline of the world. We can zoom in, and this tile splits into four new tiles of the same size. There are twice as many pixels along each edge, and each tile has more detail. Notice that country boundaries are visible now, but we can’t see any names yet. We can zoom in even further, and each of these tiles split again. There still aren’t any text labels, but the map is getting more detailed and we can see small features that weren’t visible before.

You get the idea - we could keep zooming, and we’d get more and more tiles, each with more detail. This tile system means you can get detailed information for a specific area, without loading the entire world. For example, if I’m looking at street information in Britain, I only need the detailed tiles for that part of the world. I don’t need the detailed tiles for Bolivia at the same time. OpenStreetMap will only give you 256×256 pixels at a time, but we can download every tile and stitch them together, one-by-one. The higher the zoom level, the more tiles you need to download, and the larger the final image will be. I can just about open that zoom level 6 image on my computer, but it’s struggling. I didn’t try opening zoom level 7 - that includes 16,384 tiles, and I’d probably run out of memory. For most static images, zoom level 3 or 4 should be sufficient - I ended up a base map from zoom level 4 for my project.

It takes a minute or so to download all the tiles from OpenStreetMap, but you only need to request it once, and then you have a static image you can use again and again. This is a particularly good approach if you want to draw a lot of maps. OpenStreetMap is provided for free, and we want to be a respectful user of the service. Downloading all the map tiles once is more efficient than making repeated requests for the same data. Now we have an image with a map of the whole world, we need to overlay our lat/lon coordinates as points on this map. I found instructions on the OpenStreetMap wiki which explain how to convert GPS coordinates into a position on the unit square, which we can in turn add to our map. Their documentation includes a worked example using the coordinates of the Hachiko Statue. Most users of OpenStreetMap tiles will use these unit positions to select the tiles they need, and then dowload those images - but we can also position these points directly on the global map.

I wrote some more Pillow code that converts GPS coordinates to these unit positions, scales those unit positions to the size of the entire map, then draws a coloured circle at each point on the map. The nice thing about [https://www.travelwitheaseblog.com/?s=writing writing] this code in Pillow is that it’s a library I already know how to use, and so I can customise it if I need to. I can change the shape and colour of the points, Sleep Better with [https://www.mythmoor.com/case-study-the-success-of-derila-pillow-2/ Derila Contour Pillow] or crop to specific regions, or add text to the image. I’m sure more sophisticated data visualisation libraries can do all this, and more - but I wouldn’t know how. The downside is that if I need more advanced features, I’ll have to write them myself. I’m okay with that - trading sophistication for simplicity. I didn’t need to learn a complex visualization library - I was able to write code I can read and understand. In a world full of AI-generating code, writing something I know I understand feels more important than ever.
